We’ll walk you through everything clearly and answer any questions, so you feel informed and supported every step of the way.
Psychological evaluation
- You will be connected with a licensed Mental Health Professional (MHP) for a (2) hour appointment. The first hour is devoted to a clinical interview and the second hour for the completion of an online psychological assessment inventory, the PAI. The Personality Assessment Inventory (PAI) is a multiscale, self-administered questionnaire designed to provide a comprehensive assessment of client personality and psychopathology.
- You will need a primary support person to join a portion of your clinical interview. If you are married or have a significant other, this must be your spouse or partner.
Background check
- We conduct a background check via Goodhire for you, your spouse/partner or anyone that resides with you over the age of 18.
Surrogate profile
- Our team will assist you with the creation of your surrogate profile.
Insurance review
- Your existing health insurance is reviewed to determine if it’s surrogacy-friendly. If not, we arrange for a separate policy to be purchased for you.
IP Profiles & match call
- You will have the opportunity to review intended parent profiles and decide who you would like to do a match call with.
- A match call between you and the intended parent(s) takes place, guided by our team.
Journey Manager introduction
Introduction and video call with your Journey Manager who will be your primary contact moving forward.
Your Journey Manager will help you get set up with the IVF clinic and escrow.
Medical clearance
You will travel to your intended parent(s) IVF clinic for medical clearance. This involves:
- Blood analysis to check for the following: Infectious diseases, Drug use, Tobacco use, Hormone levels, vitamin D, Iron levels and AIC.
- Immunity testing for Rubella, Hep B etc.
- Uterine analysis/Saline sonohysterogram to ensure that there are no abnormalities with your uterus. This process is similar to a PAP and will include a transvaginal ultrasound when being performed.
- Height and weight recorded for BMI documentation.
- If you have a spouse or partner, they will be required to have their blood drawn and also analyzed but that can be completed locally to you.
Joint journey preparation
Legal
- You will work with your chosen attorney to finalize the Gestational Carrier Agreement (GCA) between yourself and your intended parent(s)
- After legal clearance, the medical and legal bonus is paid, your monthly allowance starts, and the IVF clinic works on a calendar for your embryo transfer
Embryo transfer & confirmation of pregnancy

- Accidental death insurance policy is implemented
- You begin medications to prepare you for the embryo transfer. Once your uterine lining is adequate, the embryo transfer is confirmed
- Embryo transfer takes place at the IVF clinic

- Your Journey Manager will locate a local monitoring clinic and set up payment for those appointments
- Confirmation of heartbeat via ultrasounds at your local monitoring clinic
- Between weeks 10-14 of pregnancy, you graduate from the IVF clinic and are released to the care of your preferred obstetrician.
Obstetrician care

Post birth reimbursements
- 6-12 months post birth all expenses and medical bills have been submitted to the escrow by now and the account is closed.
- Reimbursement for lost wages, childcare and housekeeping expenses.
I worked with another agency in the past, and they do not compare to NewGen. As a surrogate I feel heard, respected, they even brought my previous IPs in and loved on them. I love that they are surrogates at NewGen, even the CEO is an IP. I’m proud to be a surrogate with NewGen Families.
Even as a 3 x surrogate, Amanda is my go-to goddess. The knowledge this women has on literally any aspect of surrogacy is not only honorable but extremely impressive. I’m beyond grateful to have worked with her for two of my journeys. If it weren’t for her I wouldn’t have had my fairytale journey!
Working with this agency has truly been a 360 for me compared to a prior agency I was working with and that’s honestly because of Amanda. She has such a gift for listening to what the surrogates and IP’s are looking for in their journey and matches based on those factors not just trying to force matches. She is such a sweet soul and is definitely working in her calling.
