Our story

Damien Chambers co-founded NewGen Families after becoming a father through surrogacy and developing a passion for helping others build their families. Damien was inspired to create a modern and inclusive surrogacy agency focused on improving the experience for both future parents and surrogates.

We are proud that all members of our journey management team have between 6-13 years experience building families through surrogacy and that we have parents through surrogacy, and experienced surrogates, on our leadership team.

Together, we offer egg donor and surrogate matching, embryo creation, all medical procedures, legal support, insurance advice, mental health care, and assistance with the exit process.

With seven years of experience building families through surrogacy, Damien is the ideal guide to start your journey as a future parent. He is deeply passionate about helping others and sharing his own experience of becoming a father through donor conception and surrogacy in the USA.

Janelle Hammett

Based in California, Janelle brings nine years of experience as both a two-time surrogate and surrogacy agency team member. With care, empathy, and expert knowledge, she supports both intended parents and surrogates with reassurance and understanding throughout their journey together.

Skye Weber

Skye has a background in nursing and two years of experience in surrogacy. As a Global Intended Parent Manager, she supports intended parents throughout their family-building journeys. Inspired by seeing loved ones face challenges with fertility, Skye is passionate about the many paths to parenthood and finds fulfillment in helping others realize their dreams of starting a family.

Evie Lightle

Evie’s passion for surrogacy began during her own journey in 2018. After her belly buddy’s birth, she knew she wanted to be part of the wonderful world of surrogacy. As the Intake Manager for NewGen Families, she loves getting to know our surrogates and guiding them through the process as they prepare to match with their intended parent(s).

Karen Halpin

With ten years experience as both a case manager and gestational carrier, Karen understands the incredible highs and lows that come with this path. She combines her personal experience with a deep well of compassion to guide intended parents and surrogates with personalized care and unwavering support every step of the way.

Kiersten Lorenz

Kiersten is a mother of two beautiful children and has two years experience in the surrogacy industry. Prior to NewGen she spent ten years in the medical field, including a role at Kaiser Permanente. She believes everyone should be able to experience parenthood, and loves being a part of making that possible.

Gavin Lowes

Gavin is a Melbourne-based marketing and brand leader with over 15 years’ experience driving growth, engagement, and brand development. A proud father through surrogacy, his own journey has shaped a deep commitment to advocacy, inclusive family-building, and supporting others as they navigate this path.

Sophie White

Sophie has over two decades of experience as a designer and creative director. She is actively involved in international networks of artists and creatives using their varied experiences to create beautiful and intelligent design. Sophie is a loving mother, a proud member of the queer community, and passionate advocate for all types of families.

Kelly Sandgen

Kelly combines her background in social media marketing with a personal passion for family building. Having experienced the surrogacy journey herself as a gestational surrogate, she brings that insight and genuine care to everything she creates. She is committed to creating a community where people feel supported, connected, and confident as they grow their families.
